We’re living in Keanu Reeves’ fever dream, except instead of leather trench coats, we’re wearing pajama pants in our bedroom apartment while our AI overlords serve us personalized dystopia through glowing rectangles with blinking prompts urging us to type in something on keyboard.

The machines didn’t need to harvest our bodies for energy, turns out, they just needed our attention spans.

We are the batteries now.

The Great Reality Shuffle

Physical reality? That’s so 2019.

Today’s reality comes in three delicious flavors: physical (increasingly optional), augmented (reality with training wheels), and virtual (reality’s cooler older sibling who moved to Silicon Valley).

We’re ping-ponging between dimensions like caffeinated quantum particles, except less scientific and more pathetic.
